My name is Monique and I'm an urban spirit woman

I am the black sheep of the family… and I LOVE that about me.Â
Since the age of 10, I’ve had an intense interest in witchcraft, tarot cards, ouija boards (ohhhhh the stories I’ve had with that thing), UFOs and all the high strangeness you could possibly imagine.
The funny thing is, nobody in my family was into that stuff. I had no siblings. I had no older cousins around. And on top of all of that, I went to Catholic school from 1st to 8th grade.
I literally attended church every Sunday. I was baptized in the Catholic church, and I went through confirmation. I attended Catholic summer camps, including a sleepaway camp where I voluntarily attended church during the week.
Even before I started going to Catholic school, my grandma used to take me to a Baptist church every Sunday (which I loved immensely).
And yet, here I am — a woman of color from the South Bronx cris-crossing all kinds of dimensions.
How a witchcraft book in the school library opened the door
I’m a voracious reader.Â
I’ve always liked learning new things.
So when it was library day in elementary school, I was one of those kids who separated myself from the pack and REEEEEALLLY looked for good books.
One fateful day, I found a witchcraft book at my school library. The only witchy book in the entire library. And yeah, I say ‘fateful’ because it was a Catholic school.Â
Looking back, I know that book was meant for me. I have no idea how it survived in a Catholic school library in the middle of the Bronx, where the librarian was a nun.
So when I say I was born into this, I mean that!
I had my first out of body experience when I was 11. Saw my first UFO when I was 20. Lived in a haunted apartment from 24-30. (I had to leave that place because it got really, really bad.)
In 2008, I started doing tarot, intuitive and mediumship readings on a professional level. And then in 2016, I started making my own line of conjure oils.
Conjure oils are used by witchy and hoodoo practitioners. I’m talking about oils like, Fast Money, Road Opener, Protection and that sort of thing.
But during that time, I quickly realized that I kept feeling the need to create oils that did more than your basic magick stuff.
I always felt more in tune when I was creating sacred products that were self-empowering — like Fearless Femme, which was an aura spray that helped women feel amazingly fearless.
Although the conjure oils made money, I always felt more strength coming from (what I began calling) the sacred oils.
I had no idea it would lead me to discovering another dimension!
Back in 2016, I was working with herbs everyday… creating new blends and doing a lot of readings. It became a full-time job for me.Â
As I was creating new oils, I would always wear them to see how I felt. Testing the vibration, kind of thing.
Well one day, I put on a particular oil, and I started feeling antsy. All day, I was feeling like something was about to happen.
That day, I came face to face with mantis aliens and the grays. Fully awake, might I add. I had laid down to meditate before picking up my daughter from the school bus, and in my mind’s eye, I could see an 8 foot tall praying mantis standing at the foot of my bed looking down at me.
I kept thinking it was a spirit animal, and I asked that it go down to insect size.Â
It kept telling me, “No.”
I’m writing a blog post about that total experience, but I later realized that I had crossed into another dimension while I was awake and out of the meditative state.
Not long after that, I closed my online shop. That was in 2020 when the pandemic started.Â
The experience of crossing into an extraterrestrial realm while being fully conscious was a lot to take in. I needed to understand what I was doing and what was going on.
Next stop… the mid-life crisis
In 2021, I had two sinus surgeries. Right before my surgery, a CT scan showed I had 0% air flow in my nose. I had nasal polyps that left me with no sense of smell or taste. After the surgery, I had periodic moments of regaining those senses, but it didn’t last.Â
In 2022, I turned 50. Like so many others crossing that mid-life threshold, I started re-evaluating everything, and questioning the direction of my life. Â
I ended a 7 year relationship that had run its course, and I firmly decided it was time for me to do what I REALLY came here to do in this life.Â
That’s when I began my initiation into Ifa – which is an African spiritual tradition.Â
In Ifa, we use divination to solve problems and find your destiny… we honor the highest self… we do ancestor veneration… and we work with the orishas (nature deities).
The foundation of Ifa is to live with good and gentle character, and to follow your destiny. In other words, do what you came here to do, and do it with integrity. Life is really that simple and I began to incorporate that line of thinking into my whole life.Â
It was like everything from the previous 40 years started to shape into something new. My work with the ancestors and the orishas rounded my life out.
Between the mid-life crisis, discovering my destiny and initiating into Ifa, the call to start making this incarnation of sacred oils started coming in hot and heavy.
I already knew I had been touching into different realms and dimension from experiences I’d had with the sacred oils.
While I was always amazed by the depth of these oils, I also had this nagging feeling that this experience wasn’t just for me.
This was meant to be a gift that I shared with others on the path of exploration.
At that point, I began mapping out these oils with more loving care.
It turns out, losing my sense of smell and taste enhanced my other senses
To this day, I still can’t fully smell or taste. (Weird, right?) I can tell if something is sweet, sour, salty or bitter, though I don’t know what the exact flavor is.
But an interesting by-product of losing smell and taste is that my sense of feeling ramped up significantly. When I hold things in my hand, I can feel the energy of that item radiating in my whole body. Also, my sight seems to be significantly sharper at certain times.Â
As I began to work with herbs in my apothecary, I found the impressions coming in differently… stronger. There was a kind of intensity that I hadn’t experienced before when I had the other two senses.
The best way to explain it, would be to say that I’m turning the dial on the radio, and tuning into new stations. Understanding energetic frequencies started becoming very normal to me, in a way that it hadn’t in the past.
There are no accidents here. I strongly believe I needed to lose smell and taste in order to gain strength in understanding energetic frequencies.
This was an important step in helping me create better sacred oils.Â
Today, I fully open the doorways to dimensions and realms
What I’ve learned is that “plant medicine” extends beyond psychedelics.
Don’t get me wrong, psychedelics can be wonderfully healing. But we can’t deep dive on mushrooms everyday. And sometimes you don’t remember all of the insights gained on mushrooms, ayahuasca and other teachers.Â
I specialize in creating plant medicines that adjust your energetic frequency so that you can cross into realms without the uncontrolled feeling of psychedelics.
It’s not edible. This is plant medicine you apply to the energy centers (chakras) of the body.
I think of these sacred oils as passports for conscious, spiritual travel. They calibrate your chakras so that you’re aware of other realms and dimensions.
I see and commune with the angels… ascended masters… spirit guides… extraterrestrials… and other interdimensional beings. I see them in my minds eye, as well as with my physical eyes.
They’re not “out there” somewhere. They’re actually here with us, just vibrating at a different frequency.
And it’s not that we can’t manually adjust our own frequencies to see them. We can and we do — but it’s often a random thing. That’s what scares a lot of people.
They don’t understand that we’re just a frequency shift away from completely different beings.
The imaginary things you thought were just stories… a lot of it is real. Â
My sacred oils put you in the cockpit
They allow you to experience other realms, but you’ll also know exactly where you’re going and what you’re likely to encounter.
I welcome you to the future of interdimensional travel!
With love,
Monique
